Marketing Research for Tourism, Transportation,
and Recreation
Market Street Research has a strong commitment to the cultural and economic prosperity of Massachusetts as well as neighboring states in New England and the Mid-Atlantic region. For the past 25 years, we have worked with a large number of organizations involved in tourism, transportation, and recreation. We design studies that help cultural and other attractions determine how to:
- Develop new attractions and identify better ways of presenting existing attractions
- Attract new visitors and/or encourage repeat visitation
- Identify barriers to visitation, both operational and image-related
- Increase visitors' out-of-pocket expenditures
- Expand to new geographic markets
- Establish brands and identities
- Coordinate with similar attractions to help create a "critical mass"
- Improve attractions to better meet visitors' expectations
- Improve related services (such as parking, access, signage, food, interpretation, etc.)
- Fine-tune advertising and media placement
- Find out what things delight children, adolescents, and adults of all ages
We help you identify what things delight children, adolescents, and adults of all ages, and how best to market your attractions to these groups. Our clients include bus companies, museums, public libraries, airports, downtown revitalization organizations, cultural institutions, music schools, historic sites, fairs, amusement parks, ski resorts, and transit authorities-we have even conducted face-to-face surveys with people attending community "Taste Of" events that spotlight local restaurants, foods, and farm produce.
